Hey people. Hope you all are doing good.

I recently got my hands on one of the most affordable sunscreen available in India. It's the newly launched Pond's sun protect non-oily sunscreen. It says it's dermatologist tested and for all skin types.
I have been using it for few weeks and here are my honest thoughts on this product.

POND'S SUNSCREEN

It comes in two range SPF 30 and SPF 50. It also comes in two different quantities 35 g and 80 g. I have got SPF 30, 80 g one.

It has PA +++ rating and also both UVA as well as UVB protection.

Claims-

It says it helps to prevent 5 sun damage problems like

1. Skin darkening

2. Redness

3. Uneven skin tone

Ingredients-

Water, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (and) silica (and) PVP (and) phenoxyethanol (and) methylparaben (and) propylparaben (and) BHT, octocrylene, ethylhexyl salicylate, niacinamide, palmitic acid and stearic acid, glyceryl stearate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, dimethicone, glycerin, propylparaben, methylparaben, disodium EDTA, carbomer, hydroxystearic acid, cetyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (and) aluminum hydroxide (and) stearic acid, titanium dioxide (and) aluminum hydroxide (and) dimethicone, allantoin, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, potassium hydroxide, phenoxyethanol, perfume, tocopheryl, acetate, menthyl lactate, alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzyl benzoate, butylphenyl methylpropional, citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, hydroxycitronellal, limonene, linalool. 

Packaging-

It comes in a yellow tube packaging. The tube is not bulky and hence can fit in travel pouches easily. It's really travel friendly. 

Formula-

As the name says, it's non-oily formula. I have tried a few Pond's creams before and their formula were mostly oily even for my dry skin so I got this product with no huge expectations. But surprisingly the formula is so good. It doesn't provide complete matte finish but is non-oily at the same time. It gives face a bit of dewy touch but it is not at all oily.

The formula is neither so thick nor runny. It has light cream based texture which I really liked. It does leave very minimum amount of white cast which goes off in 5 to 10 minutes. If you have deep skin tones, it may show up for few minutes after application. But it does vanish in a while.

        

Fragrance-

It has the same fragrance other Pond's products have. It smells exactly like Pond's white beauty cream. 

My thoughts-

Just after a few uses, this product has become one of my favorite sunscreen. I completely loved the formula. It didn't cause any kind of irritation to my skin. Mine is dry acne prone skin type and it suits me so well. It didn't cause any breakouts too. 

Blending this sunscreen is very easy since it doesn't have a thick consistency. It spreads so easily within seconds and gives a good finish. My skin feels more brighter after application of this sunscreen. It also adds a bit glow which I love. 

Unlike other sunscreens, it doesn't make skin look extremely oily when used in excess. It is not matte while application but after sometime it turns semi matte. This sunscreen is so good even if you sweat a lot. It doesn't come off easily with sweat which is much needed in this scorching heat. 

You need to apply this on you face and neck. Don't forget your ears. Apply this at least 15 minutes before stepping out in sun and do reapply after every 3 to 4 hours for good protection. You have to use a sunscreen even if you stay indoors and even during cloudy rainy days. 

Added bonus of this sunscreen is it is water resistant to some extent. So you can wear this on all weather conditions.

2. Non-oily formula which doesn't make skin feel greasy.

3. Brightens up the skin unlike other sunscreens which makes skin look dull.

4. Sweat proof and water resistant to some extent.

5. Light weight cream with semi matte formula.

6. Doesn't leave much white cast.

7. Suitable for even acne prone skin.

CONs-

1. Fragrance can irritate sensitive nose.
2. It is not completely matte hence oily skin people can have a problem with this.
3. Not cruelty free.

My rating is 4.5/5.
It is one of the best very affordable sunscreens available.
