I'm not a huge fan of base makeup products like foundation, concealers but I recently started to try some affordable makeup products and one of them is this blue heaven water proof makeup foundation with SPF.

Blue heaven has a lot of foundation types to choose from and I chose this one.

Packaging-

It comes in a black plastic tube packaging with mustard golden cap. Since this is a tube packaging, it is easy to take the required amount of foundation. I like to directly squeeze the required amount onto a brush or back of my palm. 

This tube is travel friendly and can easily fit into the makeup pouch since it's not so huge.

Features- (as mentioned in it)

5. Improves natural skin texture.

6. Control sebum to give your facial skin a flawless matte finish all day long.

Ingredients-

Water, liquid paraffin, iso-propyl myristate, propylene glycol, talc, titanium dioxide, stearic acid, cetyl acetate, iso octyl stearate, glyceryl stearate, cetyl alcohol, polyster-7 & neopentyl glycol hiheptanoate/ acrylates octycrylamide co polymer, triethanolamine, magnesium all. silicate, sodium lauryl sulphate, phenoxy ethanol + methyl paraben + butyl paraben + ethyl paraben + propyl paraben + isobutyl paraben, perfume, xanthan gum, di sodium EDTA, BHT, approved colours and pigments.

Blue heaven foundation

Blue heaven is an Indian brand which manufactures beauty products (makeup as well as skincare products). 

This foundation comes in only two shades, natural and blush.

Natural shade has orange tint to it and blush shade has a pink tint to it. 

You need to mix this foundation with another foundation or cream before using it to match your shade. I really wish they had at least few more shades to choose from.

I have the shade natural which is very orangy for me so I mix it up with lighter shade foundation or BB cream to get my perfect match. I love mixing it with ponds BB cream in shade original.

Blue heaven foundation is one the most affordable foundations available. It retails for INR 75 for 50 ml. This is a good product to try when you wear foundation on regular basis, for daily makeup or even for small events. It has a strong fragrance which might be irritating to some people.

Coming to the features, it's a bit hard to blend. You will definitely need a beauty blender or a foundation brush to blend this. Applying with fingers never work for this unlike for BB creams.

It is water proof to some extent when used along with a compact powder. But comes off when you sweat a lot.

It is not completely matte on the skin. I have dry skin and I haven't felt any issues with it. If you have dry skin, you have to use a good hydrating gel and a moisturizer underneath. It will stay even if you don't set with compact if you have completely dry skin.

For oily skin, it won't stay all day long. Use a primer and after the foundation, you need to set it with a compact. I won't suggest this to really oily skinned beauties. This may not work well for you.

Coverage-

This is light to medium coverage foundation. It doesn't feel like a foundation. It's somewhere between a foundation and a BB cream. It won't cover any dark spots, pigmentation or acne. You will have to use a concealer along with it to achieve the same. Considering it's low price, it's a good product to try.

4. Good for dry to normal skin.

5. Cruelty free makeup.

CONs-

1. Available only in 2 shades.

2. Has strong fragrance.

3. Not easy to blend.

4. Won't last long if you sweat a lot

5. Won't stay for oily skin.

6. Doesn't cover spots, pigmentation.

I don't think I will repurchase this since I don't do makeup on daily basis and for special occasions, I prefer much better foundation.
