As promised, here is the blog post about another amazing product from the brand Jeva. It’s Jeva activated charcoal face pack with argan oil.

Before going into the review, let me tell a bit about my skin type. I’m a person with dry acne prone skin and I’m in my early 20’s. I love charcoal as an ingredient and have tried a lot of charcoal based products. But my dry skin gets a bit irritated since it finds the products a bit drying. So it takes a lot of efforts to properly incorporate charcoal based products into my skincare routine. Now let’s jump into the review and I will tell you guys my experience with this jeva activated charcoal face pack.

PACKAGING-

Jeva face pack comes in a sturdy plastic tub packaging with an outer carton. The tub has a screw lid with an inner lid. The product is travel friendly and does not leak.

INGREDIENTS-

DM water, kaolin light, glycerin, glycerol monostearate, china clay, cetyl alcohol, stearic acid, propanediol, bentonite powder, aloe vera, activated bamboo charcoal, olive oil, benzyl argan oil, cedarwood oil, lemon oil, fragrance, vitamin E.

HOW TO USE-

Apply the jeva activated charcoal face pack to face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes. Leave on for 5 to 7 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

CLAIMS-

As the product says- Get instantly brighter, healthier looking skin. A soft, creamy formula that applies nicely and is also easy to wash off, without drying your face. Gentle exfoliation of activated bamboo charcoal removes dead cells and impurities while antioxidant benefit of argan oil helps to give skin a natural boost and acts as a great natural moisturizer. A must have product for all skin types.

MY EXPERIENCE-

Let me start talking about the texture first. I have never seen such a creamy soft texture in any charcoal based face packs before. It smoothly glides over the skin within seconds. The formula feels like magic on the skin. The formula is not drying so it suited my dry skin so well. The oils in the ingredient list makes the formula of the activated charcoal face pack so nourishing for the skin. It is rich in antioxidants due to the addition of ingredient argan oil. The activated bamboo charcoal has gentle exfoliation properties which in turn helps to brighten up the skin. The natural oil absorbent clays helps to remove the excess oil from the skin without drying it. It in turn is an amazing product for oily skin people.

The jeva activated charcoal face pack doesn’t tickle the skin unlike the jeva Japanese matcha green tea face pack. It also suits sensitive skin types but make sure you patch test before using it on entire face. The feel of this charcoal face pack on the skin is just like any other face pack but after washing it off, skin doesn’t feel dry. If you are looking for a non-drying charcoal face pack, you can get this without a second thought.

Activated bamboo charcoal helps to brighten up the skin. It has the natural ability to draw out debris and dirt from deep inside pores. It also has antifungal, antimicrobial, antibacterial properties making it one key ingredient in many skincare products.
